How old is the
Winery?
The Winery was founded in 1917 by Santo Cambianica and has been
in continuous operation for over 80 years.
Is this a family-owned business?
Yes, the Riboli family owns and operates the Winery. Four
generations have been actively involved in our business.
Where are your vineyards?
The Riboli Family farms 500 acres in Monterey and 16 acres in
Rutherford, Napa Valley. We also contract grapes on a long-term
basis with partner growers. Vineyard sources include Santa Maria
Valley in Santa Barbara, Paso Robles in San Luis Obispo, and
Alexander Valley in Sonoma.
Where is the wine produced?
The San Antonio Winery produces wines at our facilities in Los
Angeles and Paso Robles. The Los Angeles site is used for white wine
fermentations in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. Red wines
are produced at our Paso Robles facility. Our modern bottling plant
and distribution center are located in Los Angeles.
What is the significance of the name San Antonio Winery?
The name San Antonio was given in honor of St. Anthony, the
Patron Saint of the Northern Italian hometown of the Winery's
founder, Santo Cambianica. This name also provided strong religious
associations for the large European immigrant population of Los
Angeles in the early 1900's.
How many different types of wines do you produce?
We currently produce multiple brands of wines. Each brand
represents a different style of winemaking. For example, San Antonio
represents table wines and kitchen/dessert wines. Maddalena Vineyard
represents premium quality, varietal wines from California's Central
Coast, in particular Monterey. San Simeon represents the reserve
wines of Maddalena Vineyard.

Do you have a restaurant?
Yes, the Maddalena Restaurant is located within the San Antonio
Winery. It offers the most unique dining experience in Los Angeles.
A dining area has been created within the former fermentation
cellars, which were filled with redwood tanks. Our cuisine is
Italian/Californian with an emphasis on seasonal dishes from
Northern Italy. The food is delightful, and the ambiance as charming
as a Tuscan estate.
The Ontario tasting room does not have a restaurant.
